Food waste is one of the most overlooked environmental problems. The reason why chefs find it hard to minimise their food waste in their kitchens today is because they lack visibility of what is being thrown away. Up to 25% of all food that enters a kitchen gets thrown away – this represents a significant amount of cost to kitchens today. Our solution brings about a win-win situation for kitchens. Not only does it help businesses reduce their cost, it also helps them be more sustainable and they reduce their carbon footprint.
Our AI smart food waste tracker uses sensors and our proprietary image recognition technology to seamlessly measure, track and identify all food waste throw in into it. Reducing food waste in kitchens begins with awareness and visibility. How can an Executive Chef be expected to reduce food waste in his/her kitchen when he/she is not aware of what is being thrown away?
Our solution leverages on our proprietary image recognition technology that allows us to recognise all types of food waste with very high levels of accuracy. This allows our product to have a seamless user experience where we do not require users to have any additional manual inputs on our device when using it. Same cannot be said for other solutions in the market where there is a huge amount of manual input required from the user which make it harder to use and less seamless.
