To get your funding needs displayed on RUNWAY so that investors can get access to it, you need to have at least one labeled solution by the Solar Impulse Foundation. Moreover, you need to submit a Financial Information Form and have it validated by our Investor Relations Team. If these two criteria are met, your opportunity will be visible RUNWAY.

No, we do not ask for any financial contribution to have your funding needs published and shared on RUNWAY. However, if you receive capital from an investor from our network following an introduction, we ask you to give 1% of the amount received back to the Solar Impulse Foundation to help us finance our activities as a non-profit organization.

You only pay a 1% commission when we’ve made an introduction and you end up signing an investment with the investor we introduced. Introductions can either be through RUNWAY, through ad hoc email introductions following an (e)-pitch or other activities.

We’ve always strived to support solution providers labeled by the foundation without charging any fee. This is why we don’t want to charge an upfront fee to be published on the platform. However, in order to be able to maintain, expand, and develop this service, we count on the support of those who have already gained a benefit in the form of a signed investment agreement.

We take data confidentiality seriously. We only share the funding round amount as well as the expected closing period with all our investor members, in addition to the public documents you upload. Some of them (Premium accounts) will be able to use filters to finetune their results when navigating through RUNWAY. Such filters concern your sectors of activity, revenue bracket, TRL, etc. We do not share your revenue information with the wider investor network without your prior agreement.
Moreover, you always have the possibility to edit or delete your Financial Information Form and therefore remove your funding needs from RUNWAY. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions.

Yes, you can update or edit the information about your funding needs after it has been submitted. Simply log in to your account on our platform, and navigate to the "My Financial Information Form" section, you will then resubmit your Form and go through a review process from our Investor Relations Team again.

When your company has a labeled solution (or multiple), it becomes eligible for an internal review of your funding needs through the completion and submission of the Financial Information Form. If the latter meets our quality standards, it will be shared on RUNWAY.

RUNWAY lets you explore a portfolio of cleantech ventures which are currently raising funds, and which have undergone rigorous evaluation through the Solar Impulse Foundation labeling process. In addition, Change-makers and Pioneers get access to a teaser and documentation uploaded by the innovator.

RUNWAY is easy to join. Interested investors can create a membership account with the World Alliance for Efficient Solutions, fill their Investor profile to reflect their investment thesis, and explore investment opportunities on the tool

Once you have created a member account, you can login and go to your dashboard, where you can edit your investor profile. You can update your profile anytime. Please do note that updates in your investment preferences may affect the opportunities you receive.

We welcome a wide range of qualified investors on RUNWAY, including business angels, Venture Capitalists, Corporate ventures, and High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI).

Investors can access RUNWAY for free with basic access. Change-makers and Pioneers access options are paid membership and offer additional benefits. More details can be found on this page.

Yes, the Solar Impulse Foundation actively monitors the Investor community of the World Alliance for Efficient Solutions. Our team also verifies any new Investor members with a compliance check to ensure we keep a sound and engaged ecosystem, aligned with the mission to build a more sustainable economy.

For Premium investors, the Solar Impulse Foundation proactively sends notifications via email when a new opportunity matching with your investment criteria enters the platform. You can always use the tool’s search functionality to do your own proactive searches. Free subscription includes a limited number of opportunities tailored to your investment thesis.
