Smart Prepregs

Smart prepregs for in-situ damage healing and easier recycling of composite structures

Although widely used in the aerospace, automotive, wind and sports industries, composite materials tend to become brittle due to their composition. Since there are few solutions to effectively repair these materials, damaged items often have to be replaced, resulting in wasted material. To address this problem, CompPair has created a structural composite that can repeatedly heal small damages, reducing repair time from several hours to a few minutes, while being compatible with most current manufacturing processes. In addition to its self-healing properties, Smart Prepregs are crack resistant and highly recyclable. By reducing maintenance costs, increasing product life and being recyclable, Smart Prepregs provide a highly versatile and durable solution for the composites industry.

GREENOVA

An automated aeroponics system to grow full-size leafy greens in commercial greenhouses

Our solution addresses customers such as growers, processors, and distributors who want to produce locally grown, fresh, pesticide-free leafy greens. Our unique single-flow industrial-sized mobile aeroponics solution (GREENOVA) grows leafy vegetables and aromatic medicinal herbs. Our mobile aeroponics equipment comprises an irrigation robot that sprays water and nutrients directly to the roots of the plants that are held by cultivation modules and a crop management software (GURU) to assist with the greenhouse manager’s tasks, ensure full traceability, manoeuvre crop modules for smooth execution and track data. Crops bloom using our precision spraying system that provides full oxygen availability with minimum microbiological risks.

Voltiron

Color-optimized solar modules allowing the combination of energy and crops production

Food systems have a significant carbon footprint and a lot can be done to decarbonate our favorite fruits and vegetables. Voltiris' solution, consisting of color-optimized solar modules compatible with crop production, enables the energetic transition of greenhouses and allows greenhouse owners to gain in sustainability, energetic independence and viability. The solution, based on a spectral filtering technology, is compatible with high-light crops. Hence, growers can fully leverage the large surface of their greenhouses to cover them at max 35% with Voltiris modules. For a standard 5ha greenhouse, this results in up to ~17,500 solar modules installed, hence transforming the greenhouse into a photovoltaic power plant. The solution brings innovations on both the solar module and an innovative 2-axis solar-tracking system that allow to produce as much electricity as standard panels resulting in a very competitive LCOE.

Geothermal panel

Heat exchangers using geothermal energy to provide a new source of heat/cold for heat pumps

Imagine a world where any underground structure, including parking garages, basements, tunnels, and pedways, can be turned into a clean thermal energy source for buildings. Enerdrape can make this happen. Enerdrape develops the first available modular, prefabricated, and scalable geothermal panel technology that allows turning any new or existing underground infrastructure into a renewable source for the heating and cooling of buildings. By offering energy professionals and building owners a low-carbon, cost-competitive, and easy-to-install solution to avoid CO2 emissions associated with thermal energy supply and increase the use of on-site renewables, Enerdrape fosters the decarbonization of the building sector.

ARA

Ultra-high precision crop treatment with chemical use reductions (herbicides, pesticides, liquid fertilizers) up to 95%.

Ecorobotix develops, produces, and sells ARA, the ultra-high precision field sprayer reducing chemicals by up to 95%. It takes the form of a 6-meter wide trailer towed by a tractor across crop fields at a speed of 7kmph. Using 6 integrated cameras and a precise AI-driven algorithm, ARA is able to detect and recognize every individual plant. Using our software application sold with ARA, the user can choose what treatment to apply to the selected crop. A row of 156 nozzles then sprays each selected plant individually with ultra-high precision rates.

Ammonia to Hydrogen Generation System (AHGS)

A system converting ammonia into clean hydrogen for energy, suitable for industries and vehicles

Our solution, the Ammonia to Hydrogen Generation System (AHGS), revolutionizes hydrogen energy by leveraging ammonia as a cost-effective and efficient hydrogen carrier. Ammonia is an ideal medium for hydrogen storage and transportation due to its high energy density and ease of handling at ambient temperatures and pressures. The AHGS utilizes a two-stage chemical process to decompose ammonia into hydrogen and nitrogen, followed by purification to produce high-purity hydrogen. This system provides a compact, emission-free solution for generating hydrogen on-demand for both stationary and mobile applications, significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions and enhancing energy sustainability.

ExoSol

A fertile planting substrate that re-uses infertile urban excavation materials to create urban green spaces

ExoSol recycles excavation materials (mainly landfilled) to create the numerous urban green spaces that will need to be created in the years to come to counter the effects of global warming. Agricultural soil thus remains in an agricultural environment and urban soil in cities, which also reduces the flow of transport and greenhouse gases.

Verretex

Verretex has developed an innovative process that regenerates fiberglass into a textile, transforming waste into sustainable materials and contributing to a greener, more circular economy.

Verretex tackles two major challenges: the circularity of glass fiber composites and the high CO₂ emissions of the composite industry. Today, most glass fiber composites are either landfilled or incinerated, as current recycling methods are both costly and harmful to the environment. Traditional approaches like pyrolysis produce low-quality glass that must be remelted—releasing even more CO₂ than creating new material, while the recovered glass holds little economic value. VERRETEX changes this by enabling recyclers to preserve the full value of glass fibers and cut CO₂ emissions by up to 78%.

Wasteflow

WasteFlow is an intelligent co-pilot solution for waste monitoring, helping recycling facility operators boost performance, enhance safety, and ensure regulatory compliance.

WasteFlow boosts recycling rates by enhancing sorting accuracy and minimizing material loss, ensuring more waste is recovered and reintroduced into the circular economy. Its real-time control system cuts energy consumption by dynamically adjusting conveyor speeds and reducing unnecessary machine operation. Moreover, by detecting hazardous materials early, it prevents environmental contamination and lowers the risk of fires and related emissions.
