Maturity stage TRL 9 / CRI 2 - Commercial Trial Small Scale

ExoSol recycles excavation materials (mainly landfilled) to create the numerous urban green spaces that will need to be created in the years to come to counter the effects of global warming. Agricultural soil thus remains in an agricultural environment and urban soil in cities, which also reduces the flow of transport and greenhouse gases.

The Environmental Benefits

  • 100 m3 ExoSol - recycles approximately 100m3 of excavation materials
  • 100 m3 ExoSol - recycles 26 m3 of urban green waste compost, i.e. approximately 100m3 of green waste
  • 100 m3 ExoSol in situ - produced with excavation materials on site - saves 4 kgCO2eq
  • Recreating a fertile substrate on site or nearby reduces the transportation of excavation materials
  • Recreating a fertile substrate on site or nearby allows you to avoid transporting topsoil to the site
  • By sowing seeds in the ExoSol production process we create a new cycle of carbon capture
  • ExoSol helps avoid the landfill of agronomically interesting earthy materials

The Financial Benefits

  • The transport and lanfill costs of reused excavation materials are directly recovered
  • The on-site production of ExoSol is directly more advantageous than purchasing topsoil
