A panel of four Expert members of the World Alliance will confer the Pioneer Awards to the four winning pairs, each composed of a Labeled Solution and its client-adopter, in the sectors of Industry, Mobility, Agrifood, and Building.

The Finalists will take the stage to share their successful adoption stories, highlighting exceptional implementation.

The Pioneer Awards 2023, presented by the Solar Impulse Foundation, serves as a beacon of recognition and celebration for organizations that have implemented 'Efficient Solutions' across various sectors. The Pioneer Award not only honours the commitment of Adopters but also serves as an inspiration for others to follow suit.

At its core, the Pioneer Award is a tribute to the pioneering spirit that propels advancements in the field of ecological sustainability. It acknowledges the pioneers who dare to challenge the status quo, who see opportunities where others see obstacles, and who forge new paths towards a greener and more sustainable world.

These Efficient Solutions may include practices that reduce environmental impact, improve resource efficiency, or promote sustainable agriculture.

Our Independent Jury Experts

The Expert Jury of the Pioneer Awards by the Solar Impulse Foundation is a distinguished panel carefully curated to bring extensive experience and expertise in the four key sectors of the awards: industry, mobility, agrifood, and building.

Each member of this esteemed jury boasts a senior-level background with over a decade of hands-on involvement in their respective sectors. What sets these experts apart is their unwavering commitment to the Solar Impulse Foundation, demonstrated through their continuous engagement and dedication over the years. They have not only assessed but have actively contributed to evaluating a substantial number of Solutions, many of which have now earned the coveted Solar Impulse Foundation label, becoming integral parts of our growing portfolio of groundbreaking cleantech solutions.

The Scoring process is divided in 2 parts:

  • Impact Score: The current impact of the case study, assessing the real-world results it has achieved.
  • Replicability Score: The potential for the case study to be duplicated or implemented elsewhere and achieve a similar impact.
