A shared vision

Making a positive impact with sustainable solutions for a better tomorrow.

The partnership with Bertrand Piccard and the Solar Impulse Foundation underpins our common goal to establish the new possible by improving life and creating value. We share the mutual belief that sustainability is one the largest business opportunities in recent times. The world needs new solutions for the way we live and move, making it a better place for generations to come. We are excited about partnering with the Solar Impulse Foundation, as we believe that the path forward is to become part of the solution. This partnership will demonstrate how sustainable and profitable solutions in the areas of renewable and clean energy, green buildings and smart mobility can bring value to our stakeholders and contribute to a low-carbon society at the same time.

Sustainability is not an option, nor a cost, it is a duty and an exciting opportunity to be part of the solution.

Their commitment

Creating a better tomorrow through smart sustainable solutions

From making a positive impact with our sustainable solutions and practices, to building a diverse and inclusive future, we are determined to improve life and create value for all our stakeholders.
At Bekaert, we continue to progress on our Sustainability ambition. Since 2019, we’ve reduced 8.3% of our Scope 1 & 2 carbon emissions. In 2022, our carbon emission targets were officially validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), reinforcing our commitment to tackle climate change. In addition, we made strides in innovating new sustainable solutions and executing our green energy strategy, as well as received the Advanced Performer in Decarbonization Award by the European Union Chamber of Commerce China. These are some of the highlights that demonstrate the progress we are making towards achieving our ambitious sustainability targets.
