About the Solar Impulse Foundation
The Solar Impulse Foundation is a public-interest, non-profit organisation. Through its Solar Impulse Efficient Solution Label, the Foundation has identified and assessed more than 1,600 clean innovations (technologies, products, and services) that provide both environmental and economic benefits. These solutions come from startups and corporations across sectors, including Agrifood & Natural environment, Buildings & Constructions, Industrial processes & Consumer Goods, Mobility, and Utilities (Water, Energy, Waste). Our mission goes far beyond identifying clean and profitable solutions. We work to scale their adoption by activating a broad ecosystem of change-makers, public institutions, corporates, investors, and cities.

We do this by: 
  • Advocating for Efficiency: Promoting energy efficiency and encouraging governments and institutions to make it a core pillar of public policy.
  • Mobilising Finance: Attracting and directing capital toward clean, low-carbon innovations. Accelerating
  • Market Access: Connecting innovators with economic and public stakeholders to facilitate large-scale deployment of sustainable solutions. Raising
  • Awareness: Informing the public, media, and decision-makers about the importance of energy efficiency and the solutions that already exist today.
The Role
The Operations team manages the entire labelling process, from identifying leads to following up on applications. Your main mission will be to support the team by reaching out to and attracting innovators from around the world to apply for the Label for Efficient Solutions and contribute to driving meaningful change. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of innovation and sustainability. You will gain hands-on experience in ecosystem engagement, relationship management, and project coordination within an internationally recognised non-profit organisation.

Main Responsibilities
Lead Identification 
  • Identify eligible companies for the Efficient Solution Label through secondary research and database building. 
  • Find relevant contacts within cleantech companies to improve the quality of our outreach database.
  • Contact hubs of potential leads such as accelerators, cleantech clusters, events, and award organisers.
Lead Engagement
  • Reach out to prospects and innovators to understand their needs, spark interest, and explain the mission of the Solar Impulse Foundation and the value of engaging with our ecosystem. 
  • Support companies in initiating their application for the Efficient Solution Label, including scheduled or cold phone calls to encourage progress. 
  • Follow up with archived applicants to help them complete their application.
Process Optimisation
  • Co-develop a lead engagement plan and strategy for the 6-month duration of the internship aligned with team priorities. 
  • Collaborate with the Team to align on engagement strategy and weekly goals. 
  • Share feedback from applicants to help improve outreach messaging and support processes. 
  • Contribute ideas to enhance the user journey and increase conversion rates.
Outreach Team Support & Cross-Collaboration
  • Assist in the co-organisation and logistics of events (virtual and in-person) and matchmaking opportunities. 
  • Support the promotion of opportunities (upcoming event pages, social media posts, etc.). 
  • Contribute to content creation (articles, webinars, newsletters, etc.) relevant to prospective applicants.
Profile Sought
You combine strong analytical skills (research, synthesis, monitoring) with excellent interpersonal abilities (listening, collaboration, communication). You are motivated by impactful work and eager to learn from a diverse network, working toward a cleaner, more efficient world.

  • You have a Bachelor/Master degree or equivalent and an interest in sustainability, innovation, and business. 
  • You are curious, proactive, organised, and enjoy working in a dynamic, collaborative environment. 
  • You are an extrovert, at ease with meeting new people and doing cold calling. 
  • You are fluent in French and English, spoken and written. 
  • You can manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
