Selecting 1000 solutions that are profitable to protect the environment.
Following the success of the first solar flight around the World, the Solar Impulse Foundation has launched the second phase of its action: selecting #1000 solutions that can protect the environment in a profitable way, and bring them to decision makers to encourage them to adopt much more ambitious environmental targets and energy policies.
Clean and profitable solutions to protect the environment.
The World Alliance for Efficient Solutions, established by the Solar Impulse Foundation, brings together the main actors involved in developing, financing or promoting products, services, processes and technologies that protect the environment in a profitable way. To this end, we will assess the solutions submitted by our Members, with the help of independent technical and financial Experts, and select 1000 of the most promising ones. They will be labelled as Efficient Solutions and presented to governments, businesses and institutions at COP 24 to encourage them to adopt more ambitious environmental targets and energy policies.

40’000 km without fuel, a first for energy
When Bertrand Piccard and André Borschberg succeeded in flying 40,000 km around the world in a solar-powered airplane without using a drop of fuel in 2016, it was an historic first and sent a clear message across the world: that clean technologies can do more than we ever thought possible, reducing our energy consumption, protect natural resources and improve the quality of life on Earth.
