The Role
We are seeking a motivated Analyst to join our team at the Solar Impulse Foundation. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in sourcing deals, screening pitch decks, and sharing high-quality investment opportunities with our network of investors. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in venture capital, private equity, and impact investing while contributing to a more sustainable future.
Key Responsibilities:
Deal Sourcing:
- Research and identify potential investment opportunities aligned with the focus areas of our partner funds.
- Build relationships with founders, entrepreneurs, and industry stakeholders to expand deal flow.
- Maintain and update a deal pipeline with relevant metrics and progress tracking.
Screening and Evaluation:
- Review and evaluate pitch decks to assess alignment with funds criteria and sustainability goals.
- Conduct preliminary market and company analysis to determine suitability for further diligence.
- Summarize findings and prepare concise investment memos for internal review.
Investor Network Collaboration:
- Curate and share screened investment opportunities with our extensive network of investors.
- Coordinate communication between entrepreneurs and investors as necessary.
- Support investor relations efforts by providing timely updates and relevant materials.
Market Research and Insights:
- Stay informed on industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging opportunities in venture capital, M&A, and LBOs, particularly within the tech and sustainability sectors.
- Provide insights and recommendations to inform investment strategies.
Desired Profile:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Technology, or a related field.
- Strong interest in venture capital, private equity, sustainability, and impact investing.
- Excellent analytical and research skills, with the ability to evaluate qualitative and quantitative information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to distill complex information into clear and concise formats.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Self-starter with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
