About
Insect food can contribute to the UN Sustainability Goals if it becomes part of our diet. Our vision is to take insect food from a niche market to a trendy mainstream product through intelligent marketing and communications.
The ecological and health benefits of insects are astohnishing. Insects have an efficient conversion rate from feed to biomass growth. Compared to beef, their carbon footprint is up to 14 times smaller per unit of edible protein. Furthermore is insect farming very space efficient and can be conducted in urban areas, saving farmland and preventing deforestation. We proofed the high-grade protein quality with the Swiss Research institutes Agroscope and ZHAW. Further health benefits are a high amount of folic acid, therefore we have been approved as members by Stiftung Folsäure Schweiz.
Besides the ecological and health benefits insects have not been a real option for many consumers yetWe are convinced that insects can become an important part of our diet if they are sold as attractive products and are marketed well. Our vision is to make insect food a trend by producing attractive products and establishing young and sexy brand.
