Our main aim is to purify poisonous effluents (ground water, process and flushing water) without the means of conventional reducing chemicals and not to dispose of the heavy metals contained within but to recycle them and utilize them in a worthwhile way. Critical raw materials and heavy metals such as chromium, copper, cobalt, indium, lead, niobium, molybdenum, nickel, tungsten, vanadium and zinc has been treated with the ferrodecont-process. The procedure is optimised for high flow rates with low concentrations. The nature of treatment with fluidised zero-valent iron does not increase salinity and favours water reuse and circulation or direct discharge after particle separation. Iron itself is safe to handle and does not harm the environment. Sludges can be separated from water and this recyclable concentrate can be further processed downstream. The registered and patented ferrodecont-process is a definite step towards a responsible handling of our environment. We support the ambitious European environment aims for 2050 and with our present and future development, we would like to make a contribution to saving economical resources.
