About

BoxPower provide easy to assemble solar mini grid kits in containers as an affordable, convenient, and reliable alternative to diesel generators. Our prefabricated solar microgrid container sets up in five hours and consists of a solar array, battery bank, optional back-up generator, and intelligent energy management system. Capable of offsetting 4,000 gallons of diesel consumption per year and 2 million pounds of carbon dioxide over its life, BoxPower systems provides a lower levelized cost of energy while consuming 80-100% less fossil fuel. Each containerized unit offsets up to 25kW of generator capacity, and multiple units can link together to meet loads of any size, giving both our business and our customers the benefits of scalability. Through prefabrication and standardization BoxPower increases quality while decreasing design, labor, and logistic costs, reducing project costs by more than 50% relative to a traditional custom built microgrids. Furthermore, our easy-to-assemble kit can be built by local laborers with no prior experience or knowledge. This enables us to provide local education and workforce development to the communities we serve. To find customers, we work through existing channels of generator distributors and energy consultants providing lower cost, more convenient alternatives to existing options.
