With their network of partners they build connections across Europe, bringing together innovators and industry, graduates and employers, researchers and entrepreneurs, businesses and markets. Their mission is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve energy supply and security and make Europe more competitive. By bringing different stakeholders together, they maximize the impact of each, accelerate the development of market-ready solutions, and create a fertile environment in which they can sell the innovative results of their work. To-date they have supported 167 start-ups, 90 innovation projects and 660 Master School and PhD students to be the future game changers of the energy sector. In addition, they have raised €38 million of external funding for their start-ups and invested over €170 million in innovation projects.
