These tracks have been strategically chosen as they encapsulate the critical areas where systems transformation is most needed, and ESG ambitions and metrics need to be adequately set.

The conference wishes to raise the bar and move away from just pondering over theoretical perspectives. Instead, it emphasizes the action points and solutions needed by business and coming from the business. Most importantly, we rally behind the notion that achieving good ESG performance requires moving away from greenwashing and inward-looking alone. It requires like-minded sustainability business and policy leaders to embrace collaborative efforts and work together towards common goals.

This is also in line with Vision 2050, the strategic sustainability framework created by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), which outlines a comprehensive and relevant plan to enable 9 billion people* to live well within planetary boundaries by mid-century. Now more than ever, there is an imminent need for the global business community to turn this vision into a reality. Businesses must move away from a ‘business-as-usual’ mindset to a more proactive stance.
