xFarm Technologies is a tech company that aims to digitise the agrifood sector by providing innovative tools that can support agricultural entrepreneurs and stakeholders in managing their businesses. Born from the union of the start-ups xFarm and Farm Technologies, the company's aim is to drive the digital transformation of the agrifood sector. The company's offer consists of three pillars: technological solutions for farm and supply chain management, digitalisation project management and training activities for farmers, professionals and agrifood managers. Working in these three areas, it is possible to implement a change that is expressed both on the tools front and on the upskilling front. Today, xFarm Technologies' services are used by more than 120.000 farms, covering more than 1,6 million hectares, in more than 100 countries worldwide, 25 of which have an active presence. The core services of xFarm are a management platform, a dashboard of supply chain analytics and advanced agronomic algorithms. The platform is a Farm Management Information System, i.e. an application that can be used from both PCs and smartphones, and covers all areas of any farm. In fact, there are functions covering business administration, bureaucracy, financial management, agronomy, sustainability, agromechanics and precision agriculture. The aim of this product, tailor-made for modern farmers, is to combine in one simple tool all those disciplines that would normally take place in complex and separate software. In parallel, xFarm Technologies also offers IoT devices, such as weather stations, pest monitoring traps and environmental sensors, which allow field parameters to be monitored for advanced advice through predictive modelling. xFarm Analytics is a dashboard for the aggregation of data at the level of the entire supply chain and makes it possible to view the agronomic situation of the conferring farms, the environmental impact (CO2, Water, Acidification) and the supply chain relationships, both at the overview level and at the level of the individual farm. The use of this tool is coupled with a digital transformation path, where agronomists and engineers from xFarm Technologies support the partner on implementation, training and project management. xFarm LAB, on the other hand, is the division of xFarm Technologies that deals with Research and Development with a strong Market-Driven connotation, creating IT and IoT solutions applied to agronomy that, integrated in xFarm or in the partners' systems, use data to provide decision support to the farmer. To date, the group has already developed strong know-how in the areas of irrigation, crop protection, yield monitoring, integration with agricultural machinery and Internet of things in agriculture. xFarm Technologies today has a team of more than 60 people in 4 offices (Lugano, Milan, Rome, Barcelona) and pursues its goals of increasing agribusiness sustainability through a focus on user experience, technology integration and cooperation throughout the supply chain.
