Synergistic Array Performance: Modeling demonstrates that closely spaced VAWTs (within one meter of each other) achieve a 15% or greater increase in Annual Energy Production compared to wider spacing. This compensates for the VAWT problem of drag and an inherently lower efficiencies than HAWTs.
Lower Total Cost per kWh: There are many places where VAWTs will realize lower lifetime kWh costs than new wind and solar farms will likely achieve.
Increased Capacity Factors: Wind Harvester 4.0 can significantly increase the capacity factors of existing and new wind farms by capturing energy from.
