Let me provide you with some figures: In France, almost 1 Millions Ton of end-of-life clothes, and 5 Million T of Plastics, are generated every year, but only one third of both are recycled. On the other hand, there are huge quantities of wood consumed every year, especially in building applications, almost 7 M cubic meters per year Based on this observation, we undertook the challenge to replace a part of wood consumed by some material based only on plastic and textile wastes, that can even last longer, so we started working on a mix of both kind of wastes, and we achieved very good results in lab scale, then in semi-industrialisation. Then we decided to use this material which we called VALDENIM to develop a triangle of most demanded products in outdoor layout: decking, fencing, and cladding profiles. The material and process of transformation are patented. We did some market studies with prospects, and we learnt that 95% of people are unsatisfied with their garden configuration, and 100% of them confirmed that product price is the barrier to not invest for its improvement, so generally households will spend in inside works, and if something is left then it can be for outside. Based on that, we decided to propose a product which will be affordable, by proposing the most competitive price in Market. By upcycling wastes, we don’t only save 5000 T of wastes per year from being burned, but also, we propose a product which is economic, with very high technical and aesthetic value. We are very optimistic about market perspectives, Garden products sales increase the most between DIY products, we aim to achieve 10 M€ TO in 2030.
