About
Tropicalia Grenhouse has been developed as a impact investment operation addresing several key issues of sustainable development:
- Energy efficiency and renewable energy production (self sufficient operation only relying on clean local energy : heat and electricity) with positive output for the local community (excess renewable heat production of 5 GWh pear year, as well as collective photovoltaic auto-consumption);
- A center dedicated to education, knowledge, research and awareness on global issues linked to the preservation of biodiversity and local communities facing climate change ;
- A bridge between North and South allowing for its 600 000 visitors each year through our "Emerveiller - Sensibiliser -Agir" process that we are all individually a positive actor in a global perspective.
- Through our "fonds de dotation" Tropicalia Global Positive Impact contribute on safeguarding remarquable natural areas through support of local organisation, acquisition of land for preservation, facilitating the transfer of clean energy technology,
- A place of advocacy for the local and tropical communities in order to voice the challenge they're facing.
