Architectured materials, researched for decades, are the holy grail of material science. Finally, TETMET created a method of efficiently making them at scale, unlocking an enormous opportunity for decarbonisation and circularity in, Automotive, Aviation, Space, Construction and many more.
TETMET has developped its own design tool. In the absence of production method, there was no appropriate design solution in the market to create optimized lattices.
Besides the design, TETMET also created a unique production toolchain, using standard robotics; fiber laser and camera.
The applications can be found across a large span of sectors using metal parts.
Depending on the projects, TETMET ususally reduces the mass from 60 to 80% versus aluminum.
Thanks to laser spot-welding, the quantity of electricity used is neglectable.
Finally, using only standard raw materials and components, TETMET technology can be scaled at a fast pace while keeping very reasonnable.
