Space Solar is developing and commercialising space-based solar power, the ultimate clean energy generation technology, harnessing the abundant solar resources in space to provide continuous, reliable and affordable energy.
Space-based solar power (SBSP) has long been considered technically viable, and with advances in reusable launch, independent studies confirm it is now economically competitive.
Space Solar’s satellites employ wireless power transmission technology to continuously beam energy to Earth, day and night and all weather. It is dispatchable, delivering high-value flexible power to balance unpredictable weather-dependent wind and solar, which reduces overall energy system costs. It is safe, secure, globally scalable and has a low environmental footprint, all at a cost less than one-quarter that of nuclear power. Like the revolution in communications, the future of power is wireless.
