About

Soils, including in cities, are able to be functional to provide benefits essential to the survival of human societies: they store carbon to regulate local climate, infiltrate water to participate in flood control, also participate in food production, etc. Currently, there is a real lack of consideration of the benefits provided by soils and their biodiversity in urban areas. Taking into account the agronomic (fertility, biodiversity) and health (pollution) characteristics of soils in the definition of their uses will make it possible to improve their responses to the sustainable challenges of urban development, and to imagine a new way of building the ecological cities of tomorrow. To meet these challenges, Sol &co offers : - study, assessment & advice for innovative and sustainable soil management : evaluation of the physical, chemical and biological properties of soils and evaluation of their benefits ; ecological assessment: study of macrofauna, mesofauna and micro-organisms ; - professional training courses on soil functioning and the evaluation of their quality ; - awareness raising & mediation on soil issues and their biodiversity.
