Smart-Indigo™ revolutionizes the dyeing process for denim (Jeans).
The old way: Indigo is insoluble in water and therefore cannot be used directly for dyeing. Today to produce water-soluble Leuco-Indigo they use local chemical reduction or “pre-reduced forms”. Both processes involve high environmental burdens and affecting people and environment with high risks.
The new way: Smart-Indigo™ makes the huge difference for the denim world. Offering a liquid-indigo production useing electricity instead of chemicals, where the only waste product is oxygen! The results in a chemical-free process emitting 90% less CO2, consuming 70% less energy and 30% less water. A revolutionary technology helps to protect the environment, creates safer and healthier products. “Smart-Indigo liquid” produced by electrochemical process consuming considerably fewer resources. Using only indigo pigment, caustic soda, water and electricity. The Smart-Indigo™ solution is the most sustainable way to dye denim.
