About

RetroKit is a software platform that helps housing professionals making evidence-based investment decisions for their energy renovation projects. Using their Energy Performance Certificates' data, spatial planning tools and big data analytics, it enables housing sector decision makers and advisors to identify retrofit opportunities and develop retrofit strategies, quickly and efficiently. RetroKit’s on-line software platform is backed up, secure, centralised and accessible to everyone involved in the decision-making process. Its GIS functionality enables spatial analysis of energy renovation scenarios and the creation of maps to represent their impact. RetroKit is customer focused, user friendly, simple and fast. It enables housing professionals upscaling their impact on the carbon footprint of their housing stock while improving the health and well-being of their tenants. RetroKit was developed by a team of energy engineers, software developers, UI specialists and spatial planners led by XD Sustainable Energy Consulting. It was co-designed with housing bodies and their professionals, and supported by national and local innovation funds. Our vision is to develop RetroKit as a digital one-stop-shop for the energy renovation of buildings across Europe.
