About

Recycleye's vision is to accelerate the world’s transition towards a circular economy by providing image recognition tools to enable smarter characterisation, ubiquitous tracking and automated sorting of waste. By using only colour images of waste as inputs the ultra-low-cost system is being developed to classify items; by material type (e.g. paper, glass, cardboard, metal and plastic), and by brand (e.g. a Coca-Cola can vs a Pepsi can). Recycleye is a recent spin-out from Imperial College London.
