PolyCycl’s Contiflow Cracker technology converts waste plastics to high economic value petroleum fuels similar to industrial diesel & naphtha. The company’s R&D was organized in 2010* and it has since completed 75 man years of R&D across 4 generations of technology development.
In 2016, the company setup India’s first continuous demonstration plant at Chandigarh for conversion of municipal waste plastics to industrial diesel fuels, which are used as a blendstock or substitute for diesel in industrial furnaces.
PolyCycl is today one of handful organizations globally, that has developed a differentiated, patented continuous (non-batch) process for enabling a direct conversion of plastics to high value petroleum fuels. The continuous process enables a capEx reduction of upto 75% and an opEx reduction of upto 50% over prior generation batch- based processes.
Contiflow Cracker technology is patented under US Patent 14/123,979.
