About

Our solution delivers the Polycare factory, our core product, to a prospective partner willing to invest in the technology for the local market. The Polycare factory manufactures polymer concrete without cement, with only sand or any flowable waste and recycled PET waste, no waste or emissions on site. The polymer concrete is molded into special blocks that are used to construct Polycare housing, another key product. The factory leverages Polycare’s proven technological solution to implement a new way of building that minimizes current and future challenges in the housing industry thereby creating opportunities for increased circularity in the built environment. Polycare’s core innovation is a technology system that creates sustainable, rapid-build solutions. The innovative building component, Polyblock, is made of new super strong polymer concrete and can be used like Lego blocks. Conventional Building & Construction industry accounts for 39% of global CO2 emissions; alone, the production of cement, accounts for about 8% of global CO2 emissions; the industry is resource and energy intensive but inefficient in their use; the housing it produces is vulnerable to natural hazards and accounts for significant Construction and Demolition Waste (CDW). Because qualitative aspects of recycling are not envisaged in the industry, the inherent values of the materials making up the CDW are eroded. The industry uses heavy equipment and specialized skills that make it difficult for individuals to build for themselves; and the relatively significant import content of its housing construction diminishes the magnitude of the multiplier effects on initial investment in housing construction. The Polycare solution addresses these problems: creates affordable, resilient, sustainable housing; is resource efficient, emphasizes total local input use, empowers individuals to build for themselves.
