Pick a Pier

Pick a Pier is a marina optimization platform, that helps streamline sea going activities for marinas and yacht owners.

Pick a Pier is a digital platform that enables marinas to optimize the management of their berthing supply while enabling sailors to order a berth online at the click of a button. Pick a Pier's system works to make marinas more attractive and accessible to boaters from around the world, driving new traffic to the marina and the surrounding city while raising the level of service and benefits for existing customers. Through optimization of existing supply, we can reduce the need to build new facilities, maximize marina revenue and promote tourism and economic growth in coastal cities.

Description
Berthing supply shortages are the major challenge facing the recreational boating industry.

Problem: Berthing supply shortages are the major challenge facing the recreational boating industry. Current management systems are outdated and inefficient. If boating is to compete with other leisure activities it must innovate: introduce technology into marina management; develop clusters that encourage inter-marina traffic; promote sustainable, environmentally friendly "blue-growth", and act as an economic anchor for surrounding businesses. Solution: Pick a Pier realizes that innovations proven in the airline and hospitality industries must revolutionise the recreational boating industry. By addressing optimisation, we can reduce the need to build new marinas, improve service to boaters, increase marina revenue and promote jobs in coastal regions in Europe and worldwide.
