Otrera New Energy, a CEA spin-off, is the fruit of 60 years of French industrial and scientific history. Its aim is to develop a 4th generation sodium-cooled nuclear reactor with a power output of 300 MWth (110MWe, 180MWth). Based on pre-industrial technological building blocks already developed, the first unit will be commissioned in 2032.
