About

We started Optiyol to build solutions for distribution network design and route optimization in Istanbul. We then started Optiyol Inc. in 2018 after pivoting to SaaS business model from consulting services. We develop proprietary planning and optimization algorithms and software for logistics, retail, food and beverage, CPG, field operations and passenger transportation industries. As founders, we received our Ph.D. degrees from Georgia Tech (Atlanta, GA) in Industrial Engineering. After observing that many organizations are still relying on human experience, spreadsheets and simple heuristics even in deeply studied optimization problems, we decided to pursue our careers in developing decision-support software that blend the knowledge accumulated in both worlds of industrial practice and academia. In our early years, we provided tailor-made optimization solutions at strategic and tactical levels to companies such as Unilever, Philip Morris, Ferrero and Anadolu Efes for Distribution Network Design and Sales Territory Planning. In 2018, we launched our cloud-based route optimization software with a B2B SaaS model.
