About the company

We aim at delivering sustainable mobility for the next generation.
We are working on several projects in terms of travel and sustainability. The most prestigious is a planned trip from Longyearbyen Svalbard to the North Pole with a hybrid airship with Robert Swan, Arctic Explorer and the first person to wander on both the North and South Pole. We have an exclusive agreement with the manufacturer of the world's largest vehicle. Read more about this trip: https://www.oceanskycruises.com/arctic-expedition/
Oceansky founder has a solid background in the aerospace and transport industry and has, among other things, been working on converting passenger flights to transport flights. We have a passion for flight and tourism and are driven by finding new, more sustainable alternatives in aviation and travel. In order for new, ultra-efficient technologies such as LTA technology, Hybrid Airplanes and alternatives to Jet A1 fuel to be able to go from prototype to market, OceanSky focuses the High-end Experiential Travel Market, a sector of the travel industry as the last decade has ever exceeded expectations and where it is possible to afford to implement new, energy-efficient, more sustainable technologies.
Today, the airline and travel industry have created cheap flights that are consumed on a regular basis every vacation, despite the fact that this abundance of long distance travel with fossil aviation fuel is unsustainable. With OceanSky, we aim for quality in advance of quantity by creating unique, once-in-a-lifetime experiences with a clear environmental focus where the journey is the goal.
Last week we received an award: "Venture cup top 20 ideas 2018" That was fun encouragement! read more about this here: https://www.linkedin.com/company/oceanskycruises/
Oceansky believe in:
Creating change by promoting the use of new, alternative aircraft: By collaborating with manufacturers of electric aviation, hybrid and hybrid air vehicles, OceanSky provides exposure to new, more efficient, energy-efficient alternatives in the aviation industry.
Creating change by supporting and using alternatives to fossil fuels: By cooperating with non-fossil fuel manufacturers, OceanSky promotes the development of alternative non-fossil fuels in air travel.
Creating change by supporting and using ultra clean fuels with lower emissions of toxic substances. By being able to be a supplier of less toxic fuels like Ecopar Ultra Clean OceanSky can promote the development of fuels with less emissions of toxic substances. Compared with diesel oil, the emissions of many cancerous substances drop by more than 90%. The levels of nitrogen oxides in the environment are down by up to 50%. To take the discussion about emissions at depths and also talk about emissions other than greenhouse gases is important for OceanSky.
Creating change by promoting less travel. Quality rather than quantity. Today, the airline and travel industry have created cheap flights that are consumed each semester, despite the fact that this abundance of long-distance flights with aviation fuel is unsustainable. With OceanSky, we aim for quality in advance of quantity by creating unique, once-in-a-lifetime travel with a clear environmental focus.
Creating change by climate-compensating. Through our cooperation with ChooseNow, we compensate for Oceansky. Climate compensation is a complement to own emissions reductions to pay for emissions that can not be reduced immediately. Climate compensation with emission agreements is not to be considered a full-time solution but an important part of OceanSky's work.
Creating change by promoting the messages of environmentalists and arctic experts. With the help of environmental profiles such as Robert Swan, we can focus on issues related to the aerospace industry, climate, arctic and new transport and travel options. Personal stories about our expedition and ambassadors are a great way to tell and reach out with all the above points.
