About

At Noble Water Solutions (Pty) Ltd (NWS), we are a privately owned company operating in Cape Town, South Africa. We provide a sustainable solution to the scarcity of clean drinking water in Africa by offering equipment to access both underground and surface-contaminated water sources. We use solar energy to pump the water to the surface, where it enters our specially designed portable water treatment plant. This plant contains a sterilization unit that filters and purifies the contaminated water, making it safe for consumption. The water produced meets the standards set by the World Health Organization. Our water stations can extract contaminated water from preferred sources such as boreholes, but if a borehole is not available, rivers, lakes, and dams can also be utilized. DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY The Noble Water Treatment Plant (NWTP) is a patented design that has received 35 international awards to date, including 9 global awards, for innovation in the field of civil engineering. The NWTP is the world's first high-volume (10,000 liters per day using solar energy), low-maintenance (annual maintenance) portable water treatment station. Through a combination of ionization and oxidation, the NWTP destroys pathogens and oxidizes heavy metals like iron, making the water drinkable. The NWTP also performs limited desalination. Included in the purchase price, NWS ships a container of 10 disassembled units (minimum order) to the buyer's designated port. In the case of systems purchased within South Africa, the freight container is delivered by road to the buyer's preferred location. Once the units have reached their destination, NWS sends a technician on-site to train the local staff on how to assemble, operate, and maintain the water stations. Consumables, such as replacement sterilization units (depending on the contamination level, a sterilization unit can last up to 5 years before needing replacement), can be ordered from Cape Town, South Africa.
