About

Through Green IT Classrooms and e-waste reduction, multi award wining social enterprise helping poverty-stricken children and protecting the environment. Our customers are mostly foundations and MNCS willing to have a measurable social impact on the environment. So far we have helped over 70,000 children. The Netspring Green IT Classroom programme focuses on building IT classrooms for less favored communities. We collect and refurbish obsolete computers for our classrooms. Netspring collects e-waste and make sure it is properly processed since 80% is either processed in polluting illegal facilities or discarted in landfield. E-waste is a very toxic pollution cocktail, it represent the equivalent of 5,000 Eiffel towers / year and growing. Refurbishing PCs also saves an est. 10,000 liters of water /PC (source: University of Surrey). So far Netspring has processed an estimated amount of 100 metric tonnes of eWaste. For our schools situated in remote areas and far from the grid, we have designed micro solar power stations capable to deliver the energy non only necessary to our IT classrooms but also to key school services (kitchen, sanitation, security lighting).
