About
Our BacLyte technology is a unique microbial growth enhancer supplement derived from waste bananas. It is used to improve the speed and efficiency of any industrial bio-process and to boost microbial biomass.
We use the pulp of black bananas and water to produce BacLyte, a product which enables industry to grow microbes faster and cheaper, to increase biomass and to increase overall product purity and yield.
We have scaled production and have first sales.
BacLyte has wide utility across many industries but our initial target markets are distilling, R&D and diagnostics, recombinant protein/vaccine production and yeast and probiotic biomass. We have also shown BacLyte's considerable potential in increasing the yield (by 60%) or halving the process time of anaerobic digestion through simple addition of 0.5% v/v our extract to the digestion mix.
We have fully granted European and US patents and have a National Phase application covering alcohol fermentations pending in 62 countries.
