Likewatt believes renewable and decentralized energy resources (DER) play a major role in the energy transition occurring worldwide. However, DER installations are much more profitable when coupled with energy storage and other flexibility systems allowing revenue stacking on new energy markets and achieving multiobjective criteria. The challenge remains in the complexity of such installations which disqualifies the main decision makers and complexifies the embodiment of such projects. Likewatt develops a SaaS solution that allows C&I (commercial and industrial) energy consumers and renewable IPP (independant power producers) to overcome this complexity. By integrating artificial intelligence and data-driven machine learning techniques, it makes optimal design and operation of local energy systems simple and efficient. Likewatt is a member of Tenerrdis, labellized Deeptech by Bpifrance (with the French Tech Grant), accelerated by Pulsalys and 1kubator and hosted by H7 in Lyon. The project was founded in april 2019 by two experienced entrepreneurs : Chady Kharrat, former CTO and founder of EDF Store and Forecast, and Gaetan Depaepe, former Director and founder of ABBD.

Likewatt's core product, Optiwize, is a web platform that allows non-expert decision makers in industrial and commercial companies or independant power producers to design, implement and operate optimal energy systems onsite. These hybrid systems take into consideration renewable sources, storage systems, flexible loads and up-to-date energy services markets. Integrating artificial intelligence and data-driven machine learning techniques makes the whole approach simple, seamless and efficient. The platform is connected to numerous data sources (CO2, sites consumption, electricity markets, etc.) and integrates the models of a large panel of energy technologies and markets. Advanced robust and multi-objective optimization algorithms have been developed by Ampere laboratory (CNRS) to solve complex problems quickly and accurately. Backed by an user-friendly web interface, Optiwize users are able to analyze their current energy consumption within seconds, understand the financial, technical and environmental impact of each of their decisions, automatically create specification notes and dispatch them to verified suppliers. In return, the received offers can be simulated before choosing the most appropriate installation and controlling it on a real-time basis with data forecasting tools and evolutive market integration.
