Licella is an Australian technology company that has over the past 10 years pioneered the use of Hydrothermal Liquefaction and developed its technology to run a variety of waste or low value feedstocks including non recyclable plastics that would otherwise be landfilled or incinerated and woody wastes from pulp, paper and saw mills. About

Licella has developed a unique process to convert non recyclable (end of life) plastics into fuels and chemicals. We have worked with numerous international and local waste companies taking their waste streams that would normally go to landfill (or would previously have been shipped off shore) and preparing them into a form that can be processed into a "Plasticrude." This Plasticrude is similar to traditional fossil crudes in that it has a distribution of products with various boiling points that can be extracted from the crude e.g. Gas, Naptha, Kerosene, Mid Distillates (including Diesel and Gas oils), Fuel Oils, Waxes and Residual products.
