About

In a world where plastics and unnecessary packaging items are overwhelming us, Laserfood has developed a unique technology that allows to mark in a permanent way any kind of fresh fruit or vegetable. The mark is made by a laser light and allows to eliminate the use of paper stickers and also plastic packaging. The mark is safe for the fruit as it does not damage its skin. The shelf life is not altered. We call our technology "Natural Branding", since there is nothing on the fruit skin. Just a mark made by the laser. As a result, we reduce the carbon footprint by 99,9% just on stickers. We also contribute to reducing the amount of plastic used to pack fruits & vegetables since the permanent mark allows to identify the product. Laserfood builds and sells machines that can be installed in packing houses and work at industrial level, marking large volumes of produce. Our goal is to convert our technology in a new way of labelling fruits and vegetables worldwide and to extend its use to other fresh produce such as bakery and pastry products, eggs, meat, fish, etc... We propose complete, integrated solutions that aim at reducing the impact of our society on the environment by taking out of the chain elements such as stickers that, otherwise, would end in the landfill. A Technology endorsed by theEuropean Union Laser Food, with the continuous desire to promote the indelible marking technology developed by the company in 2006, together with the EU promoted the Laser Mark project to identify fruits by means of laser, demonstrating that the use of this new technology reduced the footprint of carbon from the use of labels by 99.9% The Laser Mark project started in 2010 until June 2013. https://ec.europa.eu/environment/eco-innovation/projects/en/projects/laser-mark As a culmination of the European Project and at the request of Laser Food, the European health authorities approved the regulation of this technology. Being officially published on 06-04-2013 with 100% of the member states of the union through regulation 510/2013 .
