About

Krafblock designed a multifunctional high temperature energy storage system, based on a newly developed and fully tested sustainable storage material, with a capacity of up to 1,2MWh/m³. "High temperature": The storage itself can take up to 1300°C (just defined as a systems limit. Storage temperature could be higher, if necessary) and is defined in standardized modules (10,20, 40 foot container size), that can be used as single module or stacked together to large-scaled storage. "Storage System" means that Kraftblock integrates charging- and discharging devices, so that the costumer gets a turn-key system out of one hand. "Multifunctional": As the storage is the same for all applications, the charging- and discharging devices can be selected, depending on the application. i.e. it can be used for waste-heat recovery or - and this is our preferred case - we convert green electricity to heat, store that heat and deliver (also 24/7) to the customer's application. There even is a mobile storage solution available. Our goal: To decarbonise esp. industrial thermal processes.
