CHANGING PERSPECTIVES: Renewable Energy and the Shifting Human Landscape
CHANGING PERSPECTIVES is the title for a connected set of aerial and ground-based photography projects documenting global renewable energy development. Renewable energy capacity is being built around the world at a remarkable pace. Innovative ventures, in many countries on several continents, reflect the growing international commitment to transform our cultures and economies away from dependence on fossil fuels toward a future that taps the sustainable energy of the sun, wind, and tides. I am working to document a select group of these projects–ones that reflect an innovative proactive commitment–while striving to reveal the challenges and compromises such transformations frequently entail.
My new book, ATACAMA: Renewable Energy and Mining in the High Desert of Chile, will be published by STEIDL in 2021.
