InPipe Energy has developed the In-PRV, a first-of-its-kind, digitally-enabled renewable energy system that converts flowing water to electricity in existing and new pressurized water pipelines. The In-PRV produces a consistent, predictable and reliable source of renewable energy leveraging existing water pipeline infrastructure without affecting operations.
The In-PRV reduces operating costs, hedges against the future costs of energy, contributes to meeting climate goals and enables water agencies to be part of the transition to a grid based on renewable energy.
The In-PRV provides a dispatchable, local clean energy source that can be networked. It also collects key water system data, including pressure and flow inputs, to help water agencies improve resiliency and water operations through things like leak detection.
