About

With waste from clam fishing discarded or huge stocks underutilized Icecal has done research on how to change the waste into value and both produce one of few sustainable calcium products and also add value to rural clam fishing industry. With focus on the Quahog clam with over 99.5% volume of calcium carbonate and total volume of millions of tons in the North Atlantic alone shells or clams can become a sustainable future source of calcium.
