Green Motion, the Swiss pioneer in charging technologies since 2009, is a pure player in electric vehicles (EV) charging infrastructure. The company, located in Le Mont-sur-Lausanne, develops and produces everything locally. The offer fits private individuals as well as companies and public institutions. Our AC charging station technology is a reference worldwide and a major Chinese company bought a license for China in 2016. The company is now focusing on DC charging stations with ambitious targets on energy efficiency of the chargers. In 2016, Green Motion SA launched evpass, which is today the largest public network in Switzerland, with 871 charging stations to date (June 2018) spread over 300 municipalities. The same year, Green Motion partnered with the Swiss Federal Railways making of the Swiss Pass a key to the largest Swiss EV charging infrastructure. Green Motion’s charging stations are all online and permanently connected to the company’s backend software solution. Through the evpass app, which provides access to all the charging stations in Switzerland, the users get real time information about all the availability of the stations, the accepted payment methods and can book the stations if needed. The app also can be used to start and stop charging. Full history, details and information about the ongoing and past charging events are available. Thanks to a growing international network and a full portfolio of products and solutions, both hardware and software, the company is aiming at becoming a major player in the field of EV charging infrastructure in the coming years.
