About

The Hydrogen Power Modules (HPMs) developed by Genevos are plug & play marine fuel cells that provide a zero emissions solution for vessels. This modular technology is highly scalable providing customised power solutions from 15 kW to multi-MW scale. The innovation can be applied across the maritime sector to decarbonise vessels through primary, hybrid or auxiliary integration with a solution that offers high redundancy. These marinised power packs have been engineered to replace existing fossil-fuelled engines and generators with a clean solution that is competitive on weight, motoring range, and cost of ownership. This versatile innovation has been developed to meet the large anticipated growth in green hydrogen over the next decade, which will be a vital ingredient in the decarbonisation of the marine sector. The technology is suitable for a diverse range of applications to meet the reduction in emissions required across the maritime sector for a range of vessels from small to large including yachts, ferries, service vessels, inland transport and shipping. The HPM range is in the Type Approval certification process for marine offshore commercial standards, ensuring a robust and safe solution for all vessels. These certified modules are fully-integrated with Balance of Plant simplifying the installation process for clients. The innovation has been awarded with the Monaco Hydrogen Alliance Award, the Electric & Hybrid Propulsion Award, the Sud-Ouest Nautical Innovation Award, and the Solar Impulse Label, one of the first labels for positive impact solutions bringing together protection of the environment and financial viability. This award-winning technology revolutionises maritime power by offering a low weight and low volume zero emissions solution with high scalability and redundancy.
