About

effiEnergy® offers a solution for reducing electricity consumption by between 5% and 15%, in response to the financial and environmental demands of businesses and institutions. It consists of regulating and lowering voltage in compliance with European standards governing the supply of electrical energy within the EU. The standards are IEC 60038 and EN 50160, which indicate that the nominal voltage may vary by +/-10% and that the receivers must be designed to accept this voltage variation. An electrical architecture is made up of 3 main families of consumers 1. Constant power consumers (e.g. an electric motor) 2. Constant energy consumers (e.g. an electric oven) 3. Constant impedance loads (e.g. all cables) Lowering the voltage only generates energy savings on consumers with constant impedance (see VDE-AR-E 2055-1 standard).
