ECCUS is a design and build contractor providing off-the-shelf underground space solutions for Grid battery storage
About
ECCUS's mission statement is to transfert industrial and storage facilities to underground spaces in order to free up land for other usages.
To achieve this goal ECCUS develops standard cavern designs applicable in various ground conditions and which can be built under existing facilities.
The prime market targeted is grid level battery storage which will not only allow for the rapid and the massive deployment of such systems (prerequisite to transition to a fully renewable energies) it will be able to capture the heat generated by the batteries to provide further services.
