DimEye (Dimensional-Eye) is a high-tech company based in California, founded in 2009 and specialized in 3D High Accuracy Imaging into inaccessible environments (Subsea, Nuclear, Space). The main customers are the Energy companies, among which BP, Shell, Exxon, Chevron, ENI, Westinghouse, Framatome, Exelon as well as engineering companies.
DimEye’s operations consist of capturing videos of inaccessible assets (in the USA, West Africa, South America, North Sea, and Indonesia), process images at the office, and send 3D As-Built CAD Models as well as 3D Maps of anomalies (such as cracks, dents or corrosion) to Clients.
DimEye has developed and patented a unique technology called “Video Laser Scan™” or “VLS™,” a combination of Advanced Photogrammetry and Laser Techniques.
The main applications are:
• 3D As-Built CAD Modeling for Engineering & Modifications/Repair Projects.
• 3D Mapping of Anomalies for Integrity Management purposes.
DimEye technology uses “off the shelf” HD Cameras and Lasers (plug & play on any ROV, AUV, UAV, operated by pilots, technicians, and divers).
