About

Background of Delafield’s Technology development Delafield Pty Ltd was founded in 1987 and over the last 20 year has concentrated its work on Research and Development of novel cleantech technologies. Many years and millions of dollars were spent on the development of the Harmonic Resonance Combustion (HRC) system, a near zero emission pulse detonation/combustion technology. About a decade ago when the world starts to focus on cleaner energy Delafield’s R&D started the development of the XERONOX system, a process technology that convert Biomass or plastic into hydrogen rich syngas. What is the innovative XERONOX technology? In its basic form the XERONOX system takes biomass or plastic feedstock and convert this via superheated steam gasification into hydrogen rich syngas. At the core of this technology is the HRC that provide all heat and steam requirement for the gasification process. After the gasification the syngas is than processed through a pressure swing adsorption (PSA) system, a process of selectively separating various gases where high purity hydrogen (99.99%) is recovered from the syngas. The relatively low caloric value off-gas from the hydrogen separation PSA are than directed to the HRC for steam and heat generation basically running the XERONOX system and the HRC on bio-gas.
