About
Deciwatt create remarkable renewable energy products that convert human effort into electricity. Our first product 'GravityLight' stored human energy in a 'gravity battery' in the form of a suspended mass. As the mass descended it turned a DC motor, illuminating an LED. This allowed us to provide electric light without reliance on fossil fuel, chemical batteries or even sunlight. Our second product 'NowLight' converts human effort into electricity, using uniquely efficient biomechanics to generate far more power than other 'hand cranked' electric generators. The product allows the user to create light and power at any time, without reliance on external factors such as sunlight. We recognise that solar is a means of creating electricity and so NowLight is also compatible with solar panels. However, the sun does not shine at night and because solar panels must be outside in order to charge they may be vulnerable to theft. NowLight is a product that empowers users to create electricity at any time and anywhere.
