About
CLHYNN is a start-up resulting from research carried out by the French public sector (CNRS). It offers a third way of green electrification, making it possible to decarbonise mobility (land-air-sea) and stationary energy in a sustainable way. A real deeptech game changer, the technology combines the best of the electric battery and hydrogen, without their disadvantages.
A 2-in-1 technology, it combines a fuel cell that is compact, affordable and virtuous (PFAS-free, with a platinum-free version) which provides the power, with an in-situ hydrogen source in the form of a solid, safe, inert cartridge, independent of any infrastructure, which provides the energy. The result is a solution that is 4 times more compact and lighter than an equivalent lithium-ion battery, and can be used anywhere, anytime.
Currently covering a power range from 1 to 10kW for scooters/small boats/drones/generators, the technology is set to develop towards higher power for medium and then heavy mobility (100kW).
