About

Cheesecake Energy Ltd (CEL) aims to enable 100% penetration of renewable energy to power electricity grids and mini-grids right across the globe. As an OEM supplier of hardware solutions to energy storage project developers, our eTanker product provides the cheapest and greenest energy storage technology, which can be sized, transported and installed quickly and flexibly. It works by using electricity to compress air, storing the high grade heat and high pressure air until the electricity is needed again when the air is reheated and expanded to drive a motor which generates converting the stored energy back to electricity. The optimal size of an eTanker system is ideal for charging fleets of electric vehicles, supplying a residential neighbourhood or factory, or helping renewable generators to manage intermittency.
