The company uses a proprietary patent for a thermal machine based on a low-temperature (between 70° and 90°) transcritical CO2 power cycle. So far, studies and functional prototypes have been carried out that have confirmed the feasibility of the product. A new phase in the pipeline will allow further studies to be carried out and a prototype on which all those parameters useful for the validity of the project can be measured and simulated. CO2 is an ideal fluid for a low-temperature thermal machine. Its critical point at 31° C facilitates its use in both the liquid and gaseous state. The CARBIOX system comprises several compartments in which there are different physical states and different fluid densities, and allows, with temperature variations, the pump to be eliminated with a considerable increase in performance. The Carbiox company is looking for an industrial partner to develop the product in the various possible fields of application.
