India today is the fifth largest generator of electrical & electronic waste (“e-waste”) producing 2.0 million tons every year. Only 15% of it is recycled through formal channels. As much as there is a lack of recycling capacity, the larger issue is an efficient collection from fragmented e-waste generators.
Binbag is a technology-led company that is addressing the problem of e-waste by making the supply chain efficient. We focus on waste discovery from SMEs - a segment otherwise ignored by recyclers - and adopt technology to make the entire process from waste inspection to collection and sending it to the right recycler highly efficient.
Our AI-powered mobile application allows for quick inspection and cuts down the cycle time by 3-4 days, thus allowing a SME to make quick decision. Our app connects to the nearest transport aggregator that allows for quick turnaround and at a lower cost.
